Adding a Self Report Credit

Self Report Credits allow Individuals to report credits that are not directly related to Association events or products in netFORUM. Self Report Credits are maintained in a separate area from CEU Credits and netFORUM enables you to validate if the Individual will receive credit for the Self Reported CEU or not. Self Report Credit is available through iWeb and eWeb.

To add a Self Report Credit, complete the following steps:

  1. Expand the Module Menu and click the CEU hyperlink. This will open the CEU Module.
  2. Click the Self Report Credit group item to view the list of available group item links.
  3. Click the Add Self Report Credit hyperlink. The Add - Self Report Credit page appears.
  4. Complete the following fields as needed:
  5. Field Name Required? Description
    sort name Yes Enter the first few letters of the individual's name to whom you will be adding the Self Report Credit and click the Search icon. A list of individual's matching your search criteria will display. Click the GoTo icon next to the appropriate individual. You may also enter a sort name as well in the following format; Last Name, First Name.
    credit type Yes Expand the credit type drop-down menu and select the credit type the self reported credit should be categorized under. CEU Credit types are defined within Certification Setup.
    sub type No If applicable, expand the sub type drop-down menu and select the self report credit sub type being added.
    program code No If the Self Report Credit is to be tied to a Certification Program, specify the program in the program code drop-down.
    self reported program Yes A program for reporting self reported credits must be defined. Enter the name of the self reported program in this field.
    number of credits Yes Enter the number of credits to be awarded in the number of credits field.
    course Yes Enter the name of the course, product, publication, etc., for the self reported credit being earned.
    course details No Enter a short description of the course in the details field.
    status No Expand the status drop-down menu and select the status of the self reported credit. This field to report status on the self report such as pending, for example, if the self report must be verified first before credit is granted.
    is verified? No Click this check box if the self reported credit has been reviewed and verified.
    activity date No Enter the date of the self reported credit (i.e. when it took place.)
    notes No Enter any additional notes that pertain to the self reported credit.

    Important! The number of credits will be auto-populated based on the credit type. If you attempt to modify this, you will get an error message.
  6. Click the Save button to enter the self reported CEU credit. This will now appear on the Certificant's Profile page.
Tips:
  • If CEU credits are submitted for sessions with overlapping times, they will be invalidated. Users can also not claim the same credit more than once.
  • You may also add a Self Report Credit directly from the Certificant Profile who has reported the credit if you prefer. This is accomplished by clicking the Certification Programs Tab and then clicking the Add icon on the Self Report Credit child form.
